A powerful storm system stretching across a dozen states in the Midwest and the South brought on between 80 to 100 tornadoes. The tornadoes ripped up trees and buildings, leveled entire towns and killed a total of 39 people: 21 in Kentucky, 13 in Indiana, three in Ohio and one each in Alabama and Georgia. In total, 17 million people were in the path of the storm system.
Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this.
